While driving at freeway speed, the panoramic sunroof on my 2024 Mercedes-Benz EQE 350 suddenly shattered without any impact, debris, or warning. Glass fell into the vehicle. This was a serious safety hazard. Mercedes-Benz denied warranty coverage. An independent insurance adjuster inspected the vehicle and determined the cause was defective glass, not external damage. This appears to be a manufacturing defect involving spontaneous sunroof shattering.

The contact owns a 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQE 350 4Matic. The contact stated while driving 40 MPH, the vehicle jerked and unintendedly decelerated to 20 MPH. Several unknown warning lights were illuminated. A message advising that there was no more battery power and to pull over was displayed. The contact was able to pull to the side of the road.
