I am filing a safety complaint regarding my 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQE 350+, which has repeatedly shut down while driving, causing loss of power and reduced braking assistance. This defect has occurred at least five (5) times since I leased the vehicle and has not been corrected despite multiple repair attempts by Mercedes-Benz dealerships. While driving at freeway speed, the panoramic sunroof on my 2024 Mercedes-Benz EQE 350 suddenly shattered without any impact, debris, or warning. Glass fell into the vehicle. This was a serious safety hazard. Mercedes-Benz denied warranty coverage. An independent insurance adjuster inspected the vehicle and determined the cause was defective glass, not external damage. This appears to be a manufacturing defect involving spontaneous sunroof shattering.

The panoramic sunroof on the vehicle just expoded and shatter for no apparent reason, sending pieces of glass on the sunroof sun screen. Sounded like a shotgun blast when this occured. It occured on 10/23/25 at 2:00 in the afternoon while driving on a side street in my neighboorhood.
